Bootsy Bird Was Here Memoirs of a Bumpkinbot

Bertram “Birdy” Swallows is all grown up, but the memories of his small hometown of Horseshoe, Texas refuse to fade. Born and raised in the this small riverside community, Birdy reflects on the memories of his hotheaded rebellious friend Roddy Rockefeller, the girl that won his heart after giving him a concussion, and the devilish Wendy Witcherson who lives in the creepy mansion beyond the forest. When an unspeakable crime from the past rears its head once again, he must confront the dark truth about the town he called home and the people within it. This will be the most daunting challenge Birdy has ever faced, but with a good sense of humor and a healthy dose of hindsight…nothing is impossible. As Birdy recounts his tale, he invites the reader into his past as he relives that one fateful summer where everything right goes terribly wrong.
