Deadly Sacrifice (Angus Brodie and Mikaela Forsythe Murder Mystery)

Tense and atmospheric, Deadly Sacrifice is a Victorian historical mystery of two investigators, two cases, and a single deadly scheme that draws them both into its center. Brodie has taken up the position of Director of the newly formed CID-a secret agency tasked with tracking a dangerous foreign terrorist network. Mikaela, meanwhile, takes on an inquiry for a friend of her great-aunt, whose grandson has been murdered. As Brodie hunts the thread that leads to the terrorists, Mikaela is drawn deeper into a young man's death in which nothing is as it seems. Then, in a chilling turn, their two cases begin to converge-pulling Brodie and Mikaela into a deadly design that neither one may survive.
