Early Praise “Dougherty offers a needed corrective by demonstrating that priesthood, mediation, and covenant loyalty were already present before Sinai. Through careful canonical analysis of Genesis 14, Psalm 110, and Hebrews, he reframes Jewish law within God’s larger redemptive horizon.” “This is a rewarding and spiritually enriching study… It drew me into serious contemplation of God working through time, with clear purpose, on behalf of his weak, ordinary, but chosen, humanity. My initial thought was that there was so little Biblical reference to Melchizedek that it would be difficult to say enough to fill a book. I was wrong.” “Dougherty thoughtfully unfolds the mystery of Melchizedek and shows how it points to the eternal priesthood of Jesus Christ. This study will serve pastors, teachers, and serious students of Scripture for years to come.” — Dr. Bob Shank, Pastor, 2 Rivers Church Three verses. Two millennia.
