My Cousin Krissy (Mackenzie Prentice Mysteries)

My mother warned me when I was just a kid: “Stay away from your cousin Krissy. Wherever she is, there’s trouble.” I should have listened. Mackenzie Prentice’s cousin Kristen, aka Crazy Krissy, has been out of the family picture for a couple of decades. Now, just before Thanksgiving, Krissy returns to Three Rivers because her mother, Mack’s aunt Fiona, is in trouble. But Krissy brings trouble of her own. She shows up with a sackful of money, a bag of bones, and a desperate plea for Mack to help her untangle the messes she and her mother have stumbled into. Can Mack save Krissy from the danger closing in—or will this be the one mess even she can’t fix? Mackenzie Prentice, Investigator—thirty-five, sugar-addicted, a bit OCD, with a chorus of voices in her head commenting on her choices—may not have her personal life sorted out. But when family calls, she’s tough, tenacious, and enough of a badass to take on whatever comes her way—or so she hopes.
