Nice Girls Finish Hexed: A Cozy Witch Romantic Fantasy with Midlife Magic and Comedy (Hot Flashes & Hexes)

Ellie Whitfield has been the nicest woman in Fairhaven for as long as anyone can remember. Nobody ever asked her to be. She just was. She runs the historical society for free. She organizes the PTA spring fundraiser seven years after her son graduated. She smiles while Barbara Houghton's dry lemon bars make their annual appearance and addresses birthday cards to "Dear Friend" because she forgot one woman's name eleven years ago and it's too late to ask now. Ellie has a master's degree she's never mentioned, an ex-husband she finally walked out on after twenty-three years, and four pages of to-do lists that don't contain a single item for herself. Then a hot flash hits during a town council meeting, the walls of the community room go translucent, and Ellie stands at the microphone to inform Councilman Peters that his historic preservation plan is architecturally illiterate. Ellie's new magic reveals what's been painted over. Three layers of wallpaper. Water damage nobody fixed. Old letters she never sent. A refrigerator with strong opinions. A great-aunt's fountain pen that writes truths she spent forty years swallowing.
