Sun & Scythe (A Heroes and Romance Novel, 2)

Sara Raasch returns with the second book in the Heroes and Romance series, where the Reaper’s daughter and a descendant of Ra fall into a sunshine-meets-the-personification-of-death romance. Ophelia Blanc didn’t mean to turn the love of her life into a superweapon. As the Reaper’s daughter, she lives by his rule: Death doesn’t interfere with the affairs of gods and mortals. But when a routine Hero Council mission goes haywire, fate changes in an instant and suddenly Hattie, a descendant of Ra, the sunshine and joy that keeps Ophelia’s darkness at bay, lies dead at Ophelia’s feet. One tug at the afterlife, and Ophelia brings her soulmate back. Oops? It turns out that resurrecting a descendant of Ra transforms them into the Eye of Ra, an uncontrollable nuclear superweapon linked to a darker threat within the Hero Council. As Hattie’s dangerous new powers ensnare her in a divine war, Ophelia realizes an important distinction in her father’s rule: death doesn’t interfere. Not death can’t. And she’s already broken the rule once. Death has a heart. Ophelia’s is Hattie. And she’ll shred heaven and hell to save her.
