The Book of Light: A Middle Grade Fantasy Adventure (Behind the Open Door)

A magical adventure through dimensions with a gifted child and her invisible dog friend Often discounted by her family as having a wild imagination, 8-year-old Cassie is able to sense, see, and interpret the energetic vibrations of this world and other dimensions. When her family moves to Pine Cove, Maine for her father’s new job, she discovers an invisible dog named Patrik who has been waiting for her since a suspicious fire burned the barn on the property three hundred years ago! Together with Patrik, Cassie discovers an enchanted world behind their potting shed, and a Magic Tree. Using portals to the Elemental Kingdom, Cassie and Patrik uncover the secret past of her home and community and the vibrational forces of nature. The Book of Light is the first in a five-part middle grade mystery fantasy adventure that opens our minds and hearts to enlightenment of that which is not visible, but undeniably real.
