The Ensuing Term: A Novel of Masonic Lodge Leadership

When thirty-one-year-old Tyler Mitchell was installed as Worshipful Master of fictitious Parian Lodge No. 42, he inherited a familiar litany of troubles. Poor attendance at meetings, issues with the building, pushback from senior members, lack of candidates, and more. His family life was also suffering. How would he deal with the challenges that face far too many Worshipful Masters and prevail? The story of Parian Lodge is fictional, but it is based on real principles and real successes. For the Lodge leaders and future Worshipful Masters reading this story, facing their own versions of Parian Lodge's challenges: you are not alone. The struggles you face have been faced by countless Brothers before you. You have the opportunity, right now, during your term, to make a difference.
