The Purim Puppet Show (Mensch Squad Mysteries, 1)

It's almost time for the Purim puppet show, but the lead puppet has disappeared. Without the Haman puppet, the show can't go on! Best friends Eve, Maya, and Asher call themselves the Mensch Squad because (like a true mensch) they're dedicated to helping each other, showing kindness (even when it's hard), and solving this mystery. They must work together to gather clues, interview suspects, and find the puppet before the holiday festivities can begin. Purim is a joyful Jewish holiday that celebrates Queen Esther, who saved her people from the plans of an evil royal advisor looking to rid the ancient Persian Empire of all Jews. The Mensch Squad Mysteries series features mysteries related to a variety of Jewish holidays in an early reader chapter book format perfect for readers ages 6-8.
