The Shuffle A Duffy Mystery

When Duffy helps a young city girl get treatment for her addiction in a Florida rehab he thinks he did good, that is, until he finds out she's caught up in "The Shuffle"-a sick, diabolical exploitation of addicted women. When she realizes she's not there to get help but to be forced into prostitution, kept on drugs and coerced into financially exploiting the system for her captures, she splits. Then when a mass shooting destroys the rehab and the evidence points to her, Duffy knows she's been set up. Add in the governor of the state with an eye toward the White House taking more than a casual interest in her and Duffy knows something is rotten. It is time to head south. This edition of The Shuffleincludes an extended preview of the first book in this series, On the Ropes. Critical Acclaim for The Duffy Mysteries: "In The Comeback, Tom Schreck's good-guy Duffy Dombrowski continues his journey of helping those who can't help themselves. He even helps them after they're dead. Readers who are addicted to Lee Child's Jack Reacher protag will appreciate Duffy, who is tougher than the violent bad guys he faces down. A fun, muscular read." -G.
