Weirdly tuned antennae

"Weirdly Tuned Antennae is a novel of speculative fiction set in the foothills of the Himalayas in a post-imperialist future. Key to this future is a technology that enables humans to transcend the confines of their bodies-as a social practice and a metaphysical possibility-with inherently political implications. Navi leaves the comforting rituals of home to uncover the uncomfortable legacy of their estranged mother-a freedom fighter in the ongoing battles for self-determination. This legacy is derived from a lineage of temperamental healer-witches with mastery over the spirit world and over the cell-a plant-based network that channels energy and information. Through the lush, moody tension of monsoon season in the mountainside, Navi encounters a lover: a mysterious figure manifested by the cell, driven by their own interplanetary search for a lost home"-- Provided by publisher.
