Woman Alone in the Woods: A Memoir Of Mud Holler

Woman Alone in the Woods: A Memoir of Mud Holler recounts the adventures of a 60's drop-out, a back-to-the-land woman who moved from Minnesota to the mountains of East Tennessee in 1972 pursuing a dream of self-sufficiency. This chronicle of persistence begins with idealism, survives the realities of place and the harshness of nature, and ends with the realization that the world is indeed a small place with no escape from the personal, interpersonal and environmental issues we all must face.
