During World War II, two very different bandsmen – one an ex-air force pilot, the other a draft dodging, scheming private detective – get caught up with gangsters and romance in Blitz-torn London.

1Part 1When pilot Eddie Wallis is forced out of the Royal Air Force due to a health disorder, he falls back on his skills as a musician and joins the big band circuit, where he encounters womanising private detective Eric Trapp.
2Part 2As the band set to replace their singer, the lads become involved in a plot to bring down a murderous Scottish gangster.
3Part 3As Eddie continually tries to win Dolly's love, Eric's detective work unearths a massive scam.
