Episode 17The day of the bathroom handover has arrived, but not everyone is on schedule. While some struggle with materials and help, others run into internal disagreements. Steffie and Gregor disagree on the finish of their countertop, and a minor relationship crisis is also developing between Sonja and Hendrick. Even for the always cheerful couple Lotty and Frank, the sun seems to have stopped shining. Marloes and Patrick have finally found a tiler, but far too late to achieve a decent handover. The jury does not mince words and assesses all bathrooms in detail. Who makes an impression, who falls short, and who walks away with that coveted €5,000?
Episode 18After the earlier embarrassingly poor bedroom deliveries, the couples in Het Blok get a final chance to redeem themselves and pocket 2,500 euros. The jury is critical, and the relief is short-lived, as a new assignment for a gender-neutral children's room immediately puts everything back on edge. Sonja transforms into a ruthless container tyrant and even imposes a construction stop, while problems pile up for Marloes and Patrick. Who will hold up under the pressure, and for whom does the adventure in Het Blok threaten to derail?
Episode 19While the plasterers are on their way, the pressure in Het Blok continues to mount. Not every couple is on schedule, and for unlucky Bianca and Silvio, setbacks are piling up now that Silvio has injured his back. Meanwhile, a leak is causing considerable unrest, and the atmosphere at Lotty and Frank's is becoming increasingly grim. Sonja has something to complain about as always, while Marloes and Patrick surprise friend and foe alike with their pace. And during the first joint lunch, intended to bond the group, the differences between them turn out to be greater than expected once again.
Episode 20After five weeks of working incredibly hard on renovations, it is really starting to take its toll on Sonja and Hendrik. On top of that, their budget has reached a dramatic low point due to all the expensive help. Steffi and Gregor are breaking building regulations again, much to the displeasure of some other couples. Bianca and Silvio are letting it all pass them by; they are completely exhausted by now, and Silvio, in particular, realizes that participating in the toughest renovation adventure in the Netherlands might not have been the best idea.
Episode 21The final 24 hours for the nursery are upon us, and the couples are pulling out all the stops to meet the grueling deadline. The younger generation seems poised to pull it off, but for Silvio, things are facing difficulties once again. Due to his back problems, he has to undergo an MRI scan. There are also complaints from the neighbors about noise pollution. The candid Bianca takes full responsibility for the racket, but it is clear that not everyone is being entirely honest.
Episode 22The completion of the children's bedroom is just around the corner, and the competition is fierce. Bianca and Silvio pull another all-nighter in the hope of finally delivering, but the question is whether that will be enough. Meanwhile, Lotty and Frank are remarkably relaxed, while Marloes and Patrick try to rectify their earlier mistakes. Not everyone makes it to the finish line, and when the jury offers criticism, all hell breaks loose. The jury comes under heavy fire. Menno is anything but happy with the assessment, and Sonja's emotions run so high that she can't hold back the tears. There are also positive surprises: several couples deliver strong rooms, making it difficult for the jury to choose.
Episode 23The construction of the kitchen gets underway. The battle for an extra renovation budget erupts, while Bianca and Silvio are unexpectedly confronted with a pipe obstructing their upstairs neighbors. Kim and Jim must decide who to grant an extra kitchen fitter to, the job every couple is vying for. Meanwhile, budgets are running dangerously high, a blazing row erupts over the communal lunch, and it becomes apparent once again just how tough life in the block is.
Episode 24After a fun but grueling evening of drinks, the 31st work day gets off to a difficult start for several couples. Seniors Sonja and Hendrik struggle to get going, and doubt strikes Jacky once again. Bianca grapples with Silvio's gloomy mood, while Kim and Jim get ready for the work van. Meanwhile, Marloes and Patrick suddenly find themselves with extra work, forcing a complete overhaul of their schedule. Fatigue is starting to take its toll on more and more couples.
Episode 25Contractor Ray and jury member Heiko are concerned about the performances of Bianca and Silvio, and Marloes and Patrick. Therefore, they sound the alarm to steer the renovation in the right direction, but it may be too late. The work van heads into town again, allowing the couples to gather extra construction budget. Although Sonja and Hendrik's job seems a bit too ambitious. Steffie and Gregor are not making themselves popular with their decision to stop contributing to the waste container.
Episode 26Frustrations mount when the key to the bike shed goes missing and several couples get stuck in their schedules. Meanwhile, the argument between Sonja and Steffie over the shared container reaches a climax when Steffie goes her own way. The couples are past the halfway point, so Dennis drops by with a surprise and there seems to be a brief moment of calm, but this is short-lived. With the kitchens on the horizon, everyone has to get back to work. As debris is cleared everywhere, it becomes apparent once again how quickly small frustrations can escalate into major conflicts.
Episode 27All kitchens have been delivered, so the Block Residents must ensure the apartments are kitchen-ready. This leads to chaos, stress, and relationship troubles. While some couples are well-prepared, others turn out to have their affairs anything but in order. Things immediately fall apart for several pairs when it turns out that being kitchen-ready involves a bit more than expected. Meanwhile, tensions are rising for some couples. An seemingly lighthearted topic like marriage suddenly leads to surprising revelations and awkward conversations. It turns out Lotty has been married before, and Frank knew nothing about it. The theme of marriage also causes unrest for Steffie and Gregor. And then there is Jim, who causes a costly blunder early on.
Episode 28While most couples are finally getting the hang of DIY, Lotty continues to fumble with construction jargon, which bodes ill. Meanwhile, construction supervisor Heiko walks around like a watchdog, and nothing escapes his notice, much to the irritation of Menno and Patrick, among others. The pressure is mounting rapidly: the underfloor heating needs to be installed, as the kitchens are already ready to be fitted. With the deadline approaching, nerves are starting to kick in. Schedules are shaky, frustrations are bubbling up, and a broken hob throws everything into disarray as well.
Episode 29The renovation teams are in the eighth week of the renovation. The final stretch towards the completion of the kitchen has begun. Sonja and Hendrik are receiving help from a kitchen installer they received as a gift from Kim and Jim. Hospitality team members Marloes and Patrick are hosting the now-legendary communal lunch. Steffie and Gregor are doing so well that they take the time to pay a visit to the competition, but this is not appreciated.
Episode 30The clock is ticking toward the delivery of the kitchens. Bianca and Silvio are falling behind, but Kim and Jim are actually ahead. Things continue to go wrong for Marloes and Patrick, and stress is causing tension for Steffie and Gregor as well, especially when unexpected help doesn't go down well with everyone. With very little time left, everyone has to make choices: what must be finished and what can wait?
Episode 31The kitchen handover brings more than just construction stress: the atmosphere changes. While it normally revolves mainly around tasks and deadlines, clear factions are forming within the group. Construction supervisor Heiko lashes out at Marloes and Patrick during the handover. Dennis tries to smooth things over, but without success. There is less and less filtering among them: they openly complain and judge each other's work. Yet, there are actually several strong kitchens at the handover, which makes the jury's choice difficult.
Episode 32The aftermath of the kitchen delivery causes division: while Jacky and Menno are still euphoric, disappointment prevails for Steffie and Gregor. Marloes and Patrick are furious and confront jury member Heiko, who they believe has crossed the line. Meanwhile, the rivalry between the camps intensifies when it emerges that building regulations have been violated and they secretly filmed each other. During the joint lunch, things explode: accusations fly across the table, old frustrations flare up, and the atmosphere changes completely.
Episode 33In a few days, the couples have to hand over their living rooms, but first they receive an overview of their finances. This yields anything but good news for Sonja and Hendrik. Bianca and Silvio want to speak with contractor Ray, as they are finding his straightforward way of communicating increasingly difficult. Sonja seeks support from the others to frame competitors Lotty and Frank with a fine.
Episode 34Bianca and Silvio pay no attention to their dwindling budget and cheerfully continue building, even though their living room won't meet the deadline. The other couples are fighting hard for the win and employing a new tactic: catching each other making mistakes that result in hefty fines. Consequently, the joint lunch is anything but pleasant. Only Bianca and Silvio seem to be enjoying it, until everything takes a turn the next day due to an unexpected setback. Something has been stolen from the bicycle shed. Due to a lack of time and money, several couples are struggling, and even the construction management loses confidence.
Episode 35Everything revolves around the living room, the place where atmosphere, style, and finish come together. The differences between the couples become painfully apparent: while some apartments are nearly finished, others still have a lot to do. For Bianca and Silvio, it seems the curtain has fallen for good. After multiple failed deliveries, they are unable to create a fully functional space this time either, with major consequences. The remaining couples are pulling out all the stops to convince the jury, but the pressure is palpable. Who will manage to impress with their living room, and who will be left disappointed?
Episode 36The DIY couples start a new week by filling the waste container. However, Frank and Lotty had already done this after the completion of the living room, and Menno decides to confront the couple about this transgression. This puts a strain on the relationship between the couples. On the advice of construction supervisor Heiko, the DIY couples trade materials with each other, but communication between Sonja and Hendrik and downstairs neighbors Patrick and Marloes does not run smoothly.
Episode 37The final weeks have arrived. Where seven couples once battled it out, only six remain. Whether that will stay that way remains to be seen, as clarity is forthcoming regarding each couple's budgets. Things do not look rosy for Marloes and Patrick, and Sonja and Hendrik. Fortunately, the participants can earn extra money with the Handyman Van. Kim and Jim receive a visit from their two children.
Episode 38Menno is working to secure an additional budget, while Marloes and Patrick question whether an apartment without doors can be considered fully finished. Meanwhile, Sonja and Hendrik's future hangs by a thread; with the support of the Klusbus, they are trying to seize their last chance. Hendrik focuses primarily on maintaining his balance amidst the many challenges coming their way.
Episode 39The departure of one couple causes a palpable sense of loss for Jacky and Menno, and Kim and Jim. The other camp seems less bothered by it. While the renovation couples continue toiling away at an endless to-do list for the completion of the stairs and the hallway, contractor Ray discovers that someone has thrown asbestos into the container. The atmosphere changes immediately: no one wants to foot the bill for this, because no one has money to spare to help pay for it. Jacky and Menno are pushed to the limit during the endless scraping of the stairwell. Especially when Lotty and Frank seemingly carefree spend their time on coffee breaks, because they both outsourced the stair work, Jacky's frustration runs high and Menno has to endure that constant irritation.
Episode 40The DIY teams are up to their necks in to-do lists and stress is mounting. Jacky has been battling the stairs for days and is starting to doubt her color choices again. Lotty and Frank go all out for the joint lunch with a hot dog cart. But the atmosphere quickly changes when Ray drops by with an announcement that puts things on edge and even threatens a construction stop. This immediately causes division within the group, with tension between Marloes and Steffie rising further. Meanwhile, Kim and Jim get stuck in their schedule and stumble upon something in the container again that absolutely does not belong there.
Episode 41The final stretch in Het Blok is drawing near for the five remaining couples. This week, they must continue with a to-do list to deliver their apartments in perfect condition. However, Kim and Jim have already resigned themselves to the fact that the final deadline will not be met, and Menno, too, has his doubts this time about the feasibility of the to-do list. That is why he would like everyone's permission to interpret the building regulations a bit more broadly, but naturally, this is not to the liking of a number of competitors...
Episode 42In Het Blok, the residents struggle with severe sleep deprivation and escalating interpersonal tensions. Amidst the intensive renovations, the arrival of family members provides a rare and valuable bright spot. However, Ray, a strict contractor determined to maintain control, is confronted with growing resistance and even an open rebellion on the work floor. This dynamic creates a tense atmosphere in which cooperation and perseverance are put to the test.
Episode 43Tonight on Het Blok, the handover of the hall, toilet, and stairs is approaching, creating maximum tension in Crooswijk. Jacky & Menno have barely slept because Jacky is completely overwhelmed by doubt and, according to her, the 'horror staircase' threatens to be the death blow to this handover. The discussion about fairness is also flaring up. Kim & Jim, as well as Jacky & Menno, are increasingly wondering whether everyone is playing under the same conditions, while Marloes and Patrick are actually benefiting from their exemption and trying to catch up on their backlog with the help of their handyman from the provinces.
Episode 44It is the day of the sixth and final handover, but no one is getting it finished. Fatigue has visibly taken its toll, and tension is rising everywhere. While the jury makes a critical round, things get out of hand internally: Kim and Jim report Steffie and Gregor for violating building regulations, and Steffie is out for revenge. After the jury deliberation, a surprising result follows that does not sit well with everyone. The final week is now drawing alarmingly close!
Episode 45The final week of Het Blok has arrived, and the last leg to the overall victory has begun. Steffie and Gregor organize a joint lunch for the last time, but this, too, does not go entirely smoothly. Tensions arise between Lotty and Frank that put their relationship under pressure, although Frank receives support from his brothers. When all the couples are tasked with organizing a neighborhood get-together, emotions run high once again.
Episode 46Day 59 in the Block marks a crucial phase in the run-up to completion. With only three days to go, the pressure is palpably mounting, and stress, irritation, and panic are taking hold of the residents. The underfloor heating still needs to be filled, while the to-do lists are growing incessantly longer. Meanwhile, the obligatory neighborhood get-together, intended as a convivial wrap-up, threatens to spiral completely out of control. The final stretch proves tougher than ever, with a race against the clock to finish everything on time.
Episode 47Tonight on ´Het Blok´, the decisive phase begins: the final 24 hours before the contestants must deliver their fully renovated apartments. The tension is mounting to the limit as the grand finale approaches. While Ray attaches the countdown clock, the renovation teams realize that every small detail could make all the difference. Jacky remains uncertain about her earlier choices and assigns Menno extra tasks in the meantime, while he is already cautiously looking ahead to the coveted grand prize. The pressure is high, time is ticking, and every action could mean the difference between winning and losing.
Episode 48In an exciting competition, seven duos compete against each other by completely renovating an apartment. Throughout the process, they apply their creativity, craftsmanship, and perseverance to create the greatest possible added value for their homes. At the end of the competition, it is calculated which couple has managed to realize the highest equity. This winning duo is crowned champion and receives a cash prize of no less than 100,000 euros.
