Garden Forks, English Toffee, Paint Chip Cards, Bundt PansSteel is shaped, welded and fitted with handles to produce sturdy garden forks. Sugar and butter are cooked and cooled into English toffee; carefully matched paint samples are applied to display cards; and aluminium is formed into deeply fluted Bundt pans before receiving a non-stick finish.
Pewter Flasks, Potato Salad, Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Engineered Wood SidingPewter components are formed, joined and polished into traditional pocket flasks. Potatoes are cooked, cut and blended with dressing on an industrial production line; membranes, plates and seals are stacked into hydrogen fuel cells; and wood fibres are bonded with resin, pressed and finished as durable exterior siding.
Canvas Wall Tents, Peace Pipes, Shredded Wheat Cereal, CannonsHeavy canvas is measured, cut and sewn into weather-resistant wall tents. Stone bowls and wooden stems are shaped into ceremonial peace pipes; cooked whole wheat is drawn into fine strands, layered and baked into shredded wheat cereal; and cast metal barrels are machined and mounted on wheeled cannon carriages.
Robotic Hunting Decoys, Canned Tomatoes, Scoreboards, LassosMoulded animal bodies are equipped with motors and remote controls to create moving hunting decoys. Tomatoes are sorted, peeled and sealed in cans for heat processing; electronic displays and control systems are assembled into scoreboards; and strands of fibre are twisted into rope and formed into working lassos.
Turf Grass, Beef Jerky, Wood Chippers, Bowling PinsGrass is cultivated in prepared fields before being cut into strips and rolled for transport. Lean meat is sliced, seasoned and slowly dried into beef jerky; heavy steel frames, feed mechanisms and cutting blades are assembled into wood chippers; and laminated maple is turned, coated and decorated to make bowling pins.
Multi-Tools, Jojoba Oil, MarionettesBlades, pliers and other implements are stamped from steel, hardened and folded into compact multi-tools. Jojoba seeds are processed and pressed to extract their liquid wax, while wooden figures are carved, painted, jointed and connected by strings to control bars to create handcrafted marionettes.
Fish Decoys, Film Digitization, Cylinder Stoves, Concrete Light PolesWooden fish decoys are carved, balanced and painted to attract fish beneath the ice. Motion-picture film is cleaned and scanned frame by frame into digital files; sheet steel is rolled and welded into compact cylinder stoves; and reinforced concrete is moulded and cured into tall light poles.
Bamboo Bicycles, Chainsaw Art, Breath Mints, Manual Motorcycle TransmissionsSelected bamboo tubes are dried, treated and joined to form lightweight bicycle frames. Artists transform large logs into sculptures with chainsaws; flavouring and sweeteners are mixed, compressed and finished as breath mints; and precision-cut gears and shafts are assembled into manual motorcycle transmissions.
Dinnerware, Air Brake Tanks, Frosted Cereal, FossilsClay is formed, glazed and fired to produce matching pieces of dinnerware. Steel sections are shaped, welded and pressure-tested as tanks for vehicle air-brake systems; cooked grain is flaked, toasted and coated with a sweet frosting; and fossils are exposed, stabilized and prepared by removing the surrounding rock.
Clay, Pitted Prunes, Spurs, Polyurethane TiresRaw clay is excavated, crushed, analysed and blended into a consistent material for industrial use. Dried plums are softened, mechanically pitted and graded; metal is shaped and decorated into riding spurs; and liquid polyurethane is poured into moulds and cured around wheel hubs to produce resilient tires.
Tasers, Canned Soup, Jaw Harps & Mouth Bows, Diving BoardsElectronic circuits, batteries and probe cartridges are assembled and tested to produce conducted-energy devices. Soup ingredients are cooked, portioned into cans and sterilized; metal reeds and resonating frames are fashioned into jaw harps and mouth bows; and layers of reinforced material are moulded into flexible diving boards.
Navajo Rugs, Crude Oil, Kaleidoscopes, Titanium Dental ImplantsWool is cleaned, spun and dyed before being woven by hand into traditional Navajo rugs. Crude oil is brought to the surface and separated from water and gas for transportation; angled mirrors and coloured pieces are enclosed inside kaleidoscopes; and titanium is precision-machined, cleaned and sterilized to create threaded dental implants.
Space Pens, Reef Aquariums, Metal Caskets, Composite Bike WheelsPressurized ink cartridges and precision ballpoint tips are assembled into pens designed to write in extreme conditions. Glass or acrylic panels, lighting and filtration equipment are combined into reef aquariums; sheet metal is formed, welded and upholstered to produce caskets; and layers of composite fibre are moulded and cured into lightweight bicycle wheels.
