Lu Zichen was frustrated by the lack of progress in his relationship with Ye Qing.12Episode 12Encouraged by Ye Qing, Nanxing began brainstorming ideas for her novel. Wudi, as "material," was indispensable in Nanxing's writing process, resulting in ample time spent together. Lacking romantic experience, Nanxing was advised by Wudi to experience the feeling of being in a relationship together, but at the last minute, she hesitated, changing the romantic elements of the novel.13Episode 13Nanxing was extremely uncomfortable with Xiao Wudi's uncharacteristically gentle and considerate nature, and her writing stalled because she couldn't find a prototype for the male lead. Xiao Wudi was convinced Nanxing's inner turmoil was related to that incident.23Episode 23When Lu Zichen learned that his new assistant was Ye Qing, his first reaction was to fire her.
