Han Wangjie from Beijing arrived at Dongzhou during a critical period of reform and development. As soon as he took office, he met EU officials investigating the "EU anti-dumping case". Just as the investigation was about to begin, a typhoon suddenly hit, causing a power shortage in the entire city of Dongzhou. The municipal party committee, government and all social groups took the lead in saving electricity to ensure production and people's lives. The EU investigation team highly praised the style of Dongzhou city leaders in governing for the people.
